Canadiens snag Jeff Petry from Oilers to add to blueline

Puck Daddy - 2 tuntia ago. Jeff Petry of the Edmonton Oilers is one of those players whose name becomes three sizes too large at the trade deadline as a defenseman with an expiring contract. Seriously, how much mind have you paid Petry before the last few weeks? Edmonton excluded.  But Petry’s a solid stay-at-home type, and his contract is off......

NHL Trade Deadline 2015 Chatterbox from Puck Daddy!

Puck Daddy - 4 tuntia ago. The NHL Trade Deadline is 3 p.m. EST on Monday, March 2, a.k.a. today. Does that mean Steve Yzerman and Ron Hextall can’t pull off a trade at 2 a.m. that stuns everyone as they reach for their morning coffee (or settle in for the night on the west coast)? Apparently not.  Many big names......

Coyotes GM: Yandle deal, awful season ‘fast-tracks us to respectability’

Puck Daddy - 14 tuntia ago. Arizona Coyotes GM Don Maloney doesn’t call what his team is enduring a “rebuild.” He calls it a “reset.” Rebuilds tear things down, and it takes years and years to build them back up. Resets are more of a quick push, even if the reboot also takes some time to take hold. Maloney has traded......

Erik Cole traded to Red Wings, as Detroit adds vital veteran

Puck Daddy - 15 tuntia ago. Dallas Stars GM Jim Nill knows the Detroit Red Wings quite well. He knows their general manager quite well. Puck Daddy - 23 tuntia ago. There’s that old saying, “If you ain’t cheatin’, then you ain’t tryin’.” This was probably going through the mind of Sibir forward Jonas Enlund during Saturday’s KHL playoff game against Traktor.  With Sibir trailing 3-1 with under seven minutes left in the third period, Enlund was tied up behind the Traktor net by Ilya Davydov......

He crashed the net, pushing the puck and Devan Dubnyk’s pad over the goal line for a controversial Avalanche tally. And at the end of the game, he got a little wacky. With......
